Frequently Asked Questions
What is Copywriting?
Copywriting is the act of writing text (a.k.a copy) to advertise, promote or market a business’s products or services.
What does a Copywriter do?
Copywriters research, plan and create written content (ensuring it’s edited and proofread properly as well). Their goal is to persuade the target audience into taking an action that supports a business’s marketing & advertising goals.
Why should I hire a copywriter and/or content creator?
As a business owner you most likely wear many hats, even though you only have one head, and have reached a point where you know you need the right content that connects you to your audience. But trying to add that to your hat pile feels a little like wearing a beanie in the middle of an Aussie summer. It don’t make-a no sense. Plus, you just get hot and uncomfortable and wonder why you’re doing it.
Some of us find words tricky to craft or content to create and that’s ok. Outsourcing the tasks you don’t enjoy, but definitely need for your business, leaves you with more time to focus on what you do best.
Why should I hire you?
As Dr.Seuss once said, “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
There ain’t no one out there who is me-er than me.
Check out my About page for a feel of who I am. Peruse the aisles of my socials to see the kinda vibe I give out. Read my words in my blog (and any other spots they’ve been featured on the web) and check out my services here. I reckon as humans we have a pretty good idea of the people we naturally gravitate towards and just like.
I’m a cherry-pickin’, translatin’, word slingin’ master at extracting the story you really want to tell about your brand. And I make sure it’s done in a unique, creative way that stands out like a pink cockatoo next to 50 grey pigeons on a telephone wire.
How does storytelling work in copywriting?
Storytelling is a technique that can be used in copywriting if it’s suitable for your brand’s marketing and advertising strategy.
I believe every aspect of your business, whether it’s you as a person, your actual product or service, the way you show up online, your customer relationships, e v e r y t h i n g, tells a story about who you are and why you do, what you do.

Help! I don’t know where to start with Copywriting or Creative Content but I need help. Did I mention HELP?
It’s ok, big deep breath. Let’s start with your website. These days your website is your digital shopfront. With your website you have multiple opportunities throughout your web pages to showcase who you are to your ideal clients. Your online presence is incredibly important.
Next, what are your social media accounts sharing? Your bio, about me, descriptions and posts every time you hit share?
Anywhere there are words connected to your services and/or products means they gotta shine. I can help you with full Copywriting and Content Creation services and I can also help you DIY. Find out more here.
I don’t know what my tone of voice is.
If your brand was a person would it be a Kath or a Kim? Maybe a Kardashian Kim? Would it be your bestie-next-door, your Mum, a firm headmaster with an authoritative voice or slick, professional CEO who speaks in a smooth baritone? Do you want to sound conversational, jokey, maybe a little bit sweary or tongue-in-cheek? Do you want to disrupt your industry or play by the rules? There are no wrong answers but tone-of-voice can be worked out for your copy and that’s where I come in.
How much are your services?
I give a good overview on my Services page. Most jobs require a customised quote due to the unique needs of each business, however, I do have a pricing guide available before proceeding to an official proposal/quote if you’d like to see this first.
Why do some of your prices say “from”? Is this some kind of sneaky, sales tactic?
No. This is the best way to give you a good indication of what the total price will be starting from, depending on any extras you need. No extras? Then the base price applies.
How do I book in?
Start with sending me an email to get the ball rolling! We can then schedule a quick call and/or nut out a creative brief and I can send you a pricing guide if needed. Once I know what you need help with, I can tailor a proposal for you with a customised quote and my Terms and Conditions. * If you wish to proceed, I require full, upfront payment for any jobs $1,000 and under or a 50% non-refundable deposit upfront for larger jobs $1,000+, with the balance due on completion.
*Due to our current “cost-of-living-crisis”, I understand some business owners are juggling (and maybe struggling) with all the things. I am happy to discuss flexible payment arrangements that work for both of us.
